Aromatherapy Mineral Salt Glow |
| An invigorating treatment that exfoliates dead skin stimulates circulation and remineralizes tissues. The body is scrubbed first with a loofah and lavender body gel, and then aromatherapy mineral salts with organic herbal extracts are mixed with a detoxifying aroma blend oil to cleanse the skin and deliver rich anti-oxidants. Mojave Lake Salt, sea salt, and volcanic ash increase the absorption of the essential oils and organic herbal extracts into the skin. |
Anti-oxidant Body Polish |
| The body polish is a gentle exfoliating scrub that saturates the skin with antioxidants to repair sun damage and skin dehydration. This treatment is recommended for sensitive skin or as an alternative to a salt glow if you have recently shaven. |
Essential Oil Body Wrap with Dry Brush Massage |
| A dry brush massage stimulates the lymphatic system, increases circulation, exfoliates dead skin and opens pores to facilitate the absorption of the therapeutic essential oils that are massaged into the skin prior to the deeply relaxing wrap. Scalp, face and foot massage included. Can be customized with a personal essential oil blend for treatment plus a bottle for use at home. Upgrade the wrap to incorporate a full body massage by extending the treatment for another half hour. |
Citrus Avocado Body Mask |
| This treatment utilizes the healing properties of several local plants. Fresh avocado and avocado oil, lavender buds, and calendula petals help soothe, moisturize and repair dry or damaged skin. Grapefruit oil refreshes and helps the body in detoxifying. This treatment, also excellent for sensitive skin, begins with a dry brush massage, followed by a body mask and thermal wrap, and then finishes with an application of avocado oil and lotion. Includes scalp and foot massage. Reserve 30 additional minutes of massage to the lotion application adding a full body massage to the mask. |
Seaweed Body Mask |
| Harvested in pure seawater, Seaweeds have long been considered nature's most complete and balanced nutrient. All of nature's minerals (including iodine, magnesium, potassium, calcium, and iron), trace elements, vitamins (niacin, riboflavin, etc.), amino acids, enzymes and hormones are found in abundance in Seaweed. Seaweed contains microscopic minerals that penetrate deeply into the skin bringing essential water balancing properties to cells preventing superficial dehydration. Alginates are found abundantly in Laminaria Seaweed, which help to naturally elasticized the skin's tissue. It is believed that seaweed will help keep the skin from sagging and wrinkling because of it high silicon content This natural anti-aging body treatment begins with a dry brush massage, followed by a body mask and thermal wrap, then finishes with an application of rehydrating lotion. Includes scalp and foot massage. Reserve 30 additional minutes of massage to the lotion application adding a full body massage to the mask. |
Moor Mud Therapy Body Mask |
| Neydharting Moor mud is applied to the entire body, which is then wrapped, allowing time for the mud mask to penetrate. Moor helps heal, soothe and rejuvenate tired muscles and dull skin. Moor is detoxifying and acts as an excellent anti-inflammatory: soothing to the skin, muscle and joints. The feet and scalp are massaged during the wrap. After a rinse, a rehydrating lotion is briefly massaged over the body. A wonderful way to upgrade this service is to incorporate additional massage during the lotion application extending the mask another 30 minutes. |
Shirodhara Therapy |
| Shiro means head; Dhara means warm steam of oil. Shirodhara is the process of running a warm steam of oil over the forehead and scalp. The Shirodhara is an ancient therapy used for centuries to restore an inner calm to the mind and balance the emotions. Shirodhara is also a rejuvenating treatment for hair and scalp. The treatment begins with hand and foot massage using warm herbal infused aromatherapy oil. Warm herbal packs, mitts and booties are then placed on the abdomen, hands and feet, furthering relaxation. Next, special oil for hair and scalp is gently streamed on the forehead for 20 to 25 minutes. This oil is then massaged into the scalp, hair, neck, and shoulders. Ayurvedic herbs are massaged into the hair and scalp to further cleanse and stimulate the hair and scalp. These herbs help nurture hair roots, correcting such conditions as dryness, dandruff and oiliness. The hair oil has a deeply moisturizing effect. The Shirodhara also includes a brief Ayurvedic facial treatment using dosha specific herbs and aromatic essential oils. It is most beneficial to leave the hair oil and herbs in for a few hours to get the best conditioning effects. It will be necessary to shampoo twice to remove all the oil. The herbs can stain clothing and must be carefully rinsed out so as to not get into the eyes, which can be very irritating. [If there has been a chemical hair treatment, it is best to wait at least 3 days before receiving a Shirodhara.] |
